Play It Forward: Visit the Toy Museum in Dénia

Discover a charming piece of industrial history at the Museu del Joguet in Dénia (Museo del Juguete de Denia). Housed in the former train station on C/ Calderón 2, this museum chronicles the town’s toy-making legacy from 1904 through the 1960s — metal and wooden toys, pedal-cars, sailboats and more. It’s a delightful stop for families, design lovers and anyone curious about how fun meets craftsmanship.

Opening hours:

  • Morning: 10:00 – 13:00 daily.
  • Afternoon:
    • From 1 May to 30 Sept: 17:00 – 21:00
    • From 1 Oct to 30 Apr: 16:00 – 20:00
  • Free entry to a permanent exhibition

Parking tip:
Parking in central Dénia can be a bit tricky, especially close to the museum. Two good options:

  • Use the free public parking lots just outside the old-town area (for instance along Av. Miguel Hernández or Ronda de las Murallas) and enjoy a 5-10 minute walk into the centre. Or go directly to the parking garage almost next to the museum, in Calle Colon, Denia
